In 2007 Mike and Erin purchased First Insurance Agency in Pine City. Upon purchase, they rebranded and changed the name to Pine Insurance Agency. They believe that it is vital to support the communities they serve. They along with their team aim to build strong relationships with their clients so they can best meet their insurance needs.
Kitty started with Pine Insurance Agency in 2022. Recently licensed in the insurance industry, Kitty is looking forward to helping people identify the insurance options they have, explaining just what insurance means to them and how it protects them. She is an outgoing people person and looks forward to knowing her customers, building long-term relationships with each of them and greeting them by name! In her spare time, she is a Special Olympics volunteer, a school bus driver and an avid fisherman. She grew up on the great lakes with a fishing pole in hand. She enjoys watching the sunset no matter how many mosquitos are attacking her and warm campfires staring up at the stars. She is always thankful for all the good Lord has provided.
Sheila started with Pine Insurance in 2012. She is the smiling face when you walk in the door and the friendly voice when you call into the Agency. She brought years of customer service experience with her and has continued on when she started working for Pine Insurance as CSR. She loves helping all of our customers with questions, payments, claims and tries to go the extra mile by providing excellent customer service. If she doesn’t have an answer for you, she will always make sure she finds one! She just loves making people happy, and strives to do this every day! Sheila and her husband Doug have been customers of Pine Insurance since 2000, when they moved up to Mille Lacs Lake and purchased Barnacles Resort. In her spare time Sheila loves spending time with her husband Doug, their three daughters and 6 Grandchildren. She is also very involved with her church as the Choir Director and a member of the Praise Team. Sheila & Doug love riding motorcycle in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter, and of course spoiling the Grandkids!
Dale started at Pine Insurance Agency when we opened the Ham Lake office in 2008 . Dale writes all lines of insurance but his specialty is in restaurants. He has over 20 years experience owning restaurants so he understands the unique needs they require from an owners perspective. His goal in insurance is to not have an incredibly high volume of clients but instead to offer personal care and attention at a manageable amount. He believes a comfortable environment is essential and invites all his clients to drop in at a moments notice and enjoy a cup of coffee to boot! He doesn’t want to offer a Twin Cities volume agency where you feel like a number but instead a small town local agency where your name is always remembered. In Dale’s spare time he enjoys golfing, boating, competitive billiards and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John started with Pine Insurance Agency in 2016 when he joined forces with Dale and Mike. Although John was new to the insurance business he brought with him a unique combination of skills including business management, customer service and commercial knowledge. John writes all lines of business but specializes in Contractors and Restaurants. He understands the contractor business so he can ensure that his clients are protected. In his spare time, John enjoys going to sporting events (GO VIKES!), fishing and spending time with his family.
Justin started with our Ham Lake office in 2023. Justin is new to the insurance industry but brings with him many years of customer service and management experience. He is passionate about helping our insureds understand their insurance and making sure they have the best coverage possible. He enjoys getting to know his clients, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! In his spare time, Justin likes spending time with friends and family, playing golf and is a big sports fan.
Kayleen joined Pine Insurance in 2024, bringing many years of experience in the insurance industry. She supports our current clients and assists our agents with quoting business and processing applications. Kayleen is always happy to answer questions and address any concerns. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her plants, golfing, and spending time with her family.
Nate started with Pine Insurance Agency in 2020. He has been in the insurance industry since 2015 working as a commercial lines agent. In 2023 he moved into his current role in operations and sales management. He enjoys bringing his Insurance knowledge and leadership to the team.
In his spare time, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids, His wife and he both graduated from McGregor and enjoy all the area has to offer while spending time with their families and friends. During the summer after work or on the weekends you will often find him either on the golf course or on a pontoon cruise…. usually both.
Ranae started her career in insurance in Alaska in 2003. She moved back to Minnesota in 2009 and started working with her dad’s agency in McGregor. Ranae specializes in personal lines and takes pride in her work, her product knowledge and customer service skills. Her friendly caring and helpful personality has created a well established relationship with her customers and all of our carriers. Ranae is always ready to sit down and enjoy a visit with all of her customers! Ranae has a special connection to McGregor and the community having ben born and raised along with the 3 generations before her. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hanging out with her 2 kids, watching her son play sports, going on road trips and outdoor recreational activities.
Paula started with Pine Insurance in the McGregor Office in 2022. She is licensed in writing personal lines, life, health and annuities. Paula was born and raised in the McGregor area and enjoys helping the people of her community and surrounding areas. Paula takes pride in her job and knows the importance of building a trusting relationship with her insureds and helping decomplicate insurance. Outside of work, Paula enjoys spending time on the lake, cooking, decorating, long walks, Occasional golf, bonfires, movies, slight obsession with plants and MOSTLY spending time with her family and friends.
Taniah is our licensed CSR who will greet you as you call or stop in our office. Taniah is not only new to the insurance industry but new to the McGregor area. She brings year of customer service experience with her. She is excited to get to know the area and our clients. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, cuddling her my dog, and spending time with her family!
Kevin is new to the insurance industry but brings with him 10 + years of customer service and sales experience. He is looking forward to getting to know our clients and reaching out to new clients as well. Kevin is new to the McGregor area and is excited to see what all the area has to offer. On his personal time, Kevin likes to golf, watch MN sports and spending time with his family.
Traci started with Pine Insurance beginning of 2022. She brings with her several years of insurance related experience working in marketing, claims, personal lines, commercial lines, specialty and farm policies. She looks forward to getting to meet everyone and give them the best possible customer service experience they can have. Traci and her husband of 30+ years are empty nesters with 2 grown children and 1 granddaughter. Enjoying life to its fullest and laughing all along the way. She loves shopping, sports, hanging with friends and is up for an adventure at any time.
Katelyn started with Pine Insurance in 2023. She is new to the insurance industry but has years of customer service experience. She is the smiling face you will see at the front desk when you walk into our office and the friendly voice you hear when you call. Katelyn also works closely with our marketing department to keep our social media accounts relevant and interesting. Katelyn is newly married and enjoys spending time with her husband and baby.
Sam started in our Pine City office in February of 2024. She will be working in both our Pine City office and Moose Lake office. Sam has been working in the insurance industry since 2021 on the medical side. She is also licensed in property and casualty insurance. With her licensing and experience, Sam will help service our current clients in both personal and commercial lines. She will also be our Moose Lake medical go to. Sam brings years of customer service knowledge with her and will be a great asset to our team and our clients. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with her 2 dogs.
Theresa started her career with Pine Insurance Agency in 2007 in our Aitkin office and then moved to Pine City in 2008. She writes all lines of insurance but specializes in Commercial and Health Care with individual/family, small group and Medicare. She is who we refer to as our “health guru”. She says helping people save premium and giving them the best coverage possible is what makes coming to work enjoyable for her. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her grandchildren, taking time for herself to read, fish and taking vacations.
Lana started with Pine Insurance agency in 2006 when it was still First Insurance Agency. She had almost 10 years of insurance experience under her belt before joining the Pine Insurance Team. She specializes in Life Insurance and Personal Lines but rounds out her experience with writing Commercial on occasion as well. Lana believes that building an honest relationship with her clients insures she is able to meet all of their insurance needs. In her personal time she likes to spend time with her family camping, riding horses and traveling.
Joe started with Pine Insurance in August of 2022. He is new to the insurance industry and is excited to learn the industry and helping all of our clients with their questions or concerns. He brings with him years of customer service experience and looks forward to providing that great customer service we strive to maintain. He’s learning all lines of insurance but with an emphasize in commercial. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and hanging out with friends and family.
Lacy started with Pine Insurance Agency in 2014. She was a newbie to the insurance industry with just a year experience behind her. She has grown not only in her position as an agent and customer service representative, but also as our marketing manager. She handles all of our promotions, advertising, sponsorships and keeps our social media accounts and website updated. Lacy also handles all of our training for all 5 locations. She specializes in writing personal lines but helps service all of our clients. In her personal time she loves to spend time with her 2 children 4-wheeling and shooting bow, taking road trips or enjoying time with her family.
Kelly started with our Pine City office in 2022 as a CSR. Kelly is the smiling face and voice you hear when you stop into our Pine City office or call. She is new to the insurance industry but brings with her more than 10 years of customer service experience to our Pine Insurance Family. She’s always willing to go the extra mile to find answers for her insured’s and to service their accounts. She’s local to our area with great community ties. Don’t be surprised when she greets you by name! In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.

Joe started with Pine Insurance Agency 2015. Pine Insurance is his first experience in the insurance industry. He has been in the real estate business since 1996 and decided they were a good combination. He writes both personal and commercial lines but specializes in commercial properties. Joe works mostly via remote office but you can occasionally catch him in his office. In his personal time he loves hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time with his children. He has also ran the Grandma’s Marathon 4 times!
